HAVS Vibration Training Course Overview
The course consists of three modules, which are structured in the following way.
Module 1 – Distance Learning Session
Designed to guide you through the basic principles of vibration, including an introduction to terminology and units of measurement used. Familiarising yourself with this information will give you a good foundation ready for Modules 2 and 3.
If you’re unsure whether this course is suitable for you, you can download module 1 for free.
Module 2 - Three Day Seminar
Module 2 is a three day seminar including major topics incorporating vibration theory, Hand Arm and Whole Body Vibration Measurement protocols and parameters, vibration reduction techniques, legislation and standards, instrumentation and measurement.
There is a heavy practical element of the course to familiarise you with the techniques of measurement and the fundamental operation of instruments, as well as introducing you to a selection of the most advanced equipment available on the market from a range of leading manufacturers.
Module 3 - Hand Arm and Whole Body Vibration Risk Assessment Report
Your Risk Assessment Report can either be produced using results from measurements taken during Module 2, or this can be a project of your choice, which involves the production of a "Hand Arm Vibration" risk assessment report.
The report you produce is the basis of your certification for the course and will be marked by the course tutor. Once you successfully complete your report to a competent standard, we will issue you with a certificate of competence valid for three years.
